The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) reported that it had met its revenue target in 2021 two months ahead of schedule, generating VNĐ620.2 trillion (US$27.1 billion), surpassing the yearly plan by 26.4 per cent, and up 28 per cent year-on-year.

On 6th December, Petrovietnam Present and CEO Le Manh Hung chaired a regular production and business meeting in December 2021 online with heads of units throughout the Group. In the first 11 months of 2021, Petrovietnam has fulfilled many targets ahead of schedule, signaling a year of fulfillment and over-fulfillment of assigned tasks, making important contribution to the country amid the unprecedented difficulty of Covid-19 pandemic.

Ha Noi, 18 November 2021 – The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on establishing strategic partnership in the period of 2021 – 2024 to promote clean and renewable energy development as well as to achieve PVN’s targets in green energy transition.

On 8th September 2021 morning, at the site of Vietsovpetro Terminal, the Joint Venture of Vietnam - Russia (Vietsovpetro) held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for fabricating 02 jackets of ZWP12 and ZWP15 platforms under Zawtika 1D field development project with the participation of PTTEP Thailand as Investor, PT.Gunanusa (PTG) Indonesia as EPCIC General Contractor and Vietsovpetro as the jacket fabrication contractor.

On 22nd September 2021, in New York City (USA), the ceremony for signing and awarding “Joint-venture agreement to establish and operate Son My LNG Terminal Co., Ltd.” between Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas) and AES (USA) took place. This is one of the activities on the sidelines of the conference, on the occasion of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s participation in the high-level meeting of the 76th United Nations General Assembly session.

On 9th September 2021, Fitch Ratings - the world’s leading credit rating agency confirmed that Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) has an independent credit rating at BB+, issuer default rating (IDR) at BB with “Positive Outlook”. At the same time, Petrovietnam's unsecured priority debt was rated at BB. This is the third year in a row that Fitch Ratings has rated Petrovietnam’s credit at BB+.

From 13 to 16 September 2021, ASCOPE Secretary-In-Charge Dr. Tran Hong Nam has represented ASCOPE at the 39th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting and its associated meetings (39th AMEM) via online platform chaired by the Ministry of Energy, Brunei Darussalam. With the theme “We Care, We Prepare, We Prosper”, it is expected that ASEAN Member States would continue to closely collaborate to foster ASEAN’s sustainable energy sector.
